A rounded, polished heart that fits in the palm of your hand, from 3 to 5 cm, sometimes larger as a decorative piece: the stone heart is the simplest gift in the minerals section, given for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, a birth, or kept in the pocket as a comfort stone. Choosing your range

A heart is judged by the symmetry of the cut, a polish free of flat spots or scratches, and the beauty of the stone. The safe bets: rose quartz, of course, then amethyst, green aventurine, clear quartz, obsidian, rhodonite, labradorite, green opal. Offer two sizes: a small one to gift, a larger one to display.
