Jewelry-Making Wire, Cord & Tools, Wholesale
Everything needed to assemble stone jewelry
Elastic cord in several diameters, nylon-coated wire, waxed cord, nylon thread, cotton and leather cord, clasps, jump rings, crimp ends, cutting pliers, flat and round-nose pliers, beading needles: this range brings together the supplies that turn a strand of beads into a finished bracelet or necklace. Arabesk offers it to shops that assemble their own pieces, to designers and to beading workshops.
Choosing your supplies
Elastic cord is the most important item: 0.5-0.6 mm for 3-4 mm beads, 0.8 mm for 6 mm beads, 1 mm for 8 mm beads and above; choose a reinforced elastic that resists ageing, and tie it with a glued surgeon's knot. Nylon-coated wire and lobster clasps are used for "fine jewelry" style necklaces and bracelets. Pliers and needles complete the starter kit.
What works in the workshop and in store
A display of beads on strands only sells well when paired with its supplies: place them next to the round beads on strand and the spacer beads. In-store "build your own bracelet" workshops are a great way to drive footfall; bags and pouches and packaging are used to present the finished jewelry.
