Terracotta Xian Warriors, wholesale: reproductions of the Qin army
The terracotta army, in boutique format
Discovered in 1974 near Xi'an, the terracotta army of Emperor Qin Shi Huang includes thousands of life-sized soldiers, each with a different face. Our reproductions are made in the Xi'an region, from molded terracotta fired according to tradition: infantrymen, kneeling archers, generals, officers, horses, in sizes from 10 cm to over 60 cm. A decorative piece steeped in history that appeals well beyond Asian shops.
Choosing your pieces
A reproduction is judged by the finesse of its modeling (face, armor, hairstyle), its earthy patina and its stability. Small sizes (10-20 cm) are sold individually and in sets of three or five different soldiers; large sizes are display or garden pieces, to be ordered with knowledge of their weight, indicated on each product sheet.
What works in store
A row of five or six soldiers of the same size creates the "army" effect that triggers purchase. They sit alongside Buddha and deity statues and singing bowls in an Asian section, and appeal to fans of history and masculine decor.
