The Kansu bowl is used for traditional Indian Ayurvedic foot massage or for treatment of the face, neck and palms.

By acting on the reflex points of the feet, the Kansu bowl activates the proper circulation of vital energy throughout the body.

In accordance with traditional Ayurvedic techniques, it is recommended to use the Kansu bowl in combination with clarified butter (ghee in Hindi) or a warm Ayurvedic oil, such as sesame oil.

The technique involves applying firm and increasingly intense pressure to the skin, taking care to stimulate each part of the sole of the foot with equal pressure, rotating clockwise or counterclockwise as needed.

This massage releases tension and the powers of the bowl allow the fire element to be expelled and promote the circulation of vital energy in the body.
