Australian Abalone Shell 15-17 cm – Smudging Holder
This large 15–17 cm Australian abalone shell is the traditional vessel for smudging: it holds sage bundles, palo santo, and sacred herbs, and safely catches embers and ash.
PE-ABA17
Origin: Australia
Weight: 200grs
Natural shell ideal for burning sage leaves and incense.
In Native American traditions, the abalone shell represents the Water element and completes the four elements of the smudging ritual: sage (Earth), the flame (Fire), and the smoke (Air). This large 15-17 cm size comfortably holds bulky bundles and torches. Each shell is unique, with its own pearly blue-green iridescence.
Use: place the burning bundle or loose herbs on sand or charcoal inside the shell, then let the shell collect ashes and embers. It can also be used to extinguish the bundle at the end of the ritual.
Product available for wholesale purchase by professionals: esoteric shops, health food stores, herbalist shops, and concept stores. Arabesk, a specialist importer of smudging products, offers one of the widest ranges of sage bundles and smudge sticks, with fast restocking all year round.
