Australian Abalone Shell 13-15 cm – Smudging Holder
This 13 to 15 cm Australian abalone shell is the traditional vessel for smudging: it catches the embers and ashes from sage bundles, palo santo, and other sacred herbs, while elevating the ritual with its pearly, iridescent sheen.
PE-ABA15
Origin: Australia
Weight: 150grs-180grs
Natural shell ideal for burning sage leaves and incense.
In Native American traditions, the abalone shell represents the Water element and completes the four elements of the smudging ritual: sage (Earth), flame (Fire), and smoke (Air). Its pearly blue-green sheen also makes it a beautiful decorative object, with each shell being unique.
Use: place the burning smudge stick or loose herbs on sand or charcoal, then let the shell safely collect ashes and embers. It is also used to extinguish the smudge stick at the end of the ritual.
Product available for wholesale purchase for professionals: esoteric shops, health food stores, herbalists, and concept stores. Arabesk, a specialist importer of smudging products, offers one of the widest ranges of sage bundles and smudge sticks, with fast restocking all year round.
